1) Formatting/Style: This is an essay. Write your three questions with reflexive explanations for why you chose that question on the first page. On the next page, repeat the question you are responding to and write your answer. This response should be 2 pages or about 500 words. Your response should be both reflexive and academically sound. 12 point font, Times New Roman or Arial.
2) Citations: There is no minimum number of citations required. However, to write your answer well, we presume you will need to bring in some sources from the class at a minimum. You can bring in outside sources if you like but they must be good sources (no Wikipedia or questionable newspapers/blogs). If you do bring in sources, they must be cited correctly. We don’t care what style you use so long as it’s consistent. I recommend Chicago or APSA formatting but MLA will also work and I assume most people have used it before. There are plenty of websites to help you format citations correctly, make it a habit of using them. As a general rule, it is better to cite something than not cite it.
3) Syllabus: The syllabus under the syllabus tab in Canvas is the updated version. I saw people asking about a midterm in Week 9, which is no longer a thing. Always check that syllabus if you sense discrepancies between what we are saying in class and what you have on an old syllabus. There are occasionally tweaks as we adjust to help manage your workload.
4) Grading: 25% of the grade will be based on your questions and reflexive explanations as to why you wrote those questions. 75% of the grade will be based on your response.INTL102 Midterm
