NR 500 EVIDENCE BASE
- State your area of research or evidence-based practice (EBP) interest from NR 500; remember that the topic must be consistent with your specialty track.
The focus research or evidence-based practice(EBP) that I chose from NR 500 is health promotion and disease prevention in public health. I am interested in increasing the general awareness among the patients and broadening their mental outlook. Subsequently, not only the provision of the high-quality medical services but also the realization of the advanced medical and teaching strategy occupies a noticeable place in my ordinary clinical practice (Burns, 2013, p. 69).
- State your MSN program specialty track and defend how your selected area of research or EBP interest from NR 500 is consistent with your selected MSN program track.
First, I wanted to become a FNP for personal reasons. I believed that such profession will create respect and admiration in the circle of my relatives, peers, and other employees. Moreover, I was also sure that this position will help me to attract the attention of community members. Secondly, I have been always dreaming of working with patients and assume more responsibilities that a general Registered Nurse. As a result, the sphere of my professional qualification includes such activities as a prescription of medication. It signifies a certain level of autonomy where I can respond to the individual needs of the patients in more coherent and urgent manner.
- Would you like to change your area of research or EBP interest from NR 500? Why or why not?
NO… I plan to work at community center to prevent disease to limitted resources population instead of care for them at a healthcare facility.
- Defend how your area of research/EBP interest is of importance to the MSN program specialty track you have selected—scholarly references are required.
To be more precise, it is worth remarking the lack of sufficient medical data among the different groups of the population. It means that most of the patients are not able to adopt reasonable solutions or propose tentative solutions towards their healthcare. Unfortunately, this situation remains rather widespread among the different representatives of the community. This issue is becoming even more actual, when the patients are not aware of the earliest aggravations regarding their healthcare status. That is why the significance of my dimension of interest cannot be underestimated under any circumstances: a new rational model based on the medical awareness should be implemented in the further perspective. Such initiative will help to provide favorable patients’ outcomes and engender the current level of the provided medical services. (Liljas et al, 2017)
