Chapter 8: Feasibility and Recommendation Reports is the topic of this week’s homework. The assignment is divided into three sections:
1. Write a report framework for either a feasibility or a recommendation report (your choice)
2. Write a report beginning that contains the purpose, problem, and solution (s)
3. Research: Identifying sources to back up your claim.
Part I: Create a rough outline for a feasibility or recommendation report.
Create an outline for a feasibility report or a recommendation report using the Outline Format.
The report’s theme is the proposal idea you came up with in Week 3.
Your outline should include some precise details. Identify the criteria (themes) you studied to discover data that supports your proposed solution to the problem in the Discussion Section, for example. For example, if you’re updating an application, criteria could include the number of resources required, the cost of doing so, and the risk of doing so.
o Describe why you choose the criteria you did.
o Cite a source (statistics) to back up your claims.
o Describe how the data relates to your situation.
Part II: Write your feasibility or recommendation report’s beginning.
It’s a solicited report if you’re writing a feasibility or recommendation report. Your audience is interested in what you have to say. Make sure you know who you’re talking to is it a professor (academic audience), or someone from a company (professional audience)?
